Sentinel

The SENTINEL Project: The Special Extra-National Intelligence Network and Elite Legion Project was brought about as a side experiment to enhance the HOUNDs of Lord Fulton of Formour. Alpha HOUND (Hunter Operative Under Neural Domination) Loward Brouhound Shue presented the Troll Lord with a series of Mystical and Scientific methods to better train soldiers in the art of killing as well as increasing the Intelligence gathering of scouts and spies. Lord Fulton was impressed with the success of these tactics that the HOUND Project was abandoned for the more efficient SENTINELS.

It took twelve years to create a truly proficient educational system to encompass the learning capabilities of multiple species of sentient. During this period of time Colonel Brohound Shue slowly took the reigns of power from Fulton and created a small mercenary state under the SENTINEL Code. After several years of favors, services, and bribes to the royal court, Formour gave semi-autonomy to the newly founded mercenary city of Sentinel. This came about with a final contract held in the possession of the King which states that no contract shall take precedence over the contracts under the commission of Formour. Lord Fulton's land were handed over without hesitation and Loward was awarded the title of Baron.

A HOUND was a trained soldier, scout, or phantom, fitted with a special "mind control" collar. The design for the collar was discovered in an underground library; part of the techno mantic dig in the Mines of Fulton. Not only did this collar allow for a wearer to be mentally dominated with ease but it turned psionic abilities of the wearer against themselves. HOUNDs were relentless and dedicated to whatever task they were set upon but often were too single-minded in function to adapted to circumstances. This lack of Resourcefulness led to the inception of Project SENTINEL.

Hepatitis Deh-viss

Well, the last of the Ultras were defeated in what's now the Darkmouth Emirate. The Ultras had built a pyramid (rumoured to still have a treasure-trove of technomancy) and were investigating the Hephaestus Device. The pyramid is now in the hands of the Daevon tribe of Hobgoblins. The Crossed Stars company of Changing Folk are nearby. The original battlefield (of the infamous Fall of Stratos conflict with the Harbingers of Chaos) is a bit further south.
