While looking over the new server logs, nameless noticed someone was searching specifically for city names that are old Lost Souls hangouts. I must confess that I fear we have strayed from our main purpose, which is keeping the scattered Pack of the Lost Souls in some kind of contact—the Midian Game is just a side-project. There are quite a few of us, in all corners of the globe, which makes having a central communications point very strongly desired. Given that membership is rather viral—invitation only, and only for those who express an interest and are found worthy—even keeping track of who is a member is extraordinarily difficult.

The purpose of this website is to be that central communications hub. I strongly encourage all Lost Souls Pack members who read this message to contact us, whether you be in Korea, Germany, the US, or wherever, we want to hear from you. Consider this a personal invitation from Cardinal Kinslayer.

It saddens me that I have to keep repeating this; it really does.

Midian is a roleplaying game. Sometimes this is abbreviated "RPG" or "rpg," or hyphenated to "role-playing game." This does not mean that it's for a gaming console that you plug into your television. It is not something where you have to worry about it being PC or Mac compatible. It does not involve such dubious terms as "lol," "roflmao," or any variation of "colon closed-parenthesis." It does not involve cards or figurines, or even batteries. It is not d20 or associated with another publisher or game.

It doesn't have a damned thing to do with any musical or sports groups.

This is the type of game that you play with your friends. Yes, that means it involves actually speaking to another human being. For the true social malcontents (or those that just cannot convince their "friends" to play), there is the option of playing on our forums. Typically, you and your friends sit around a table, but anywhere comfortable where you can see & hear each other is fine. Dice are rolled, character sheets referenced, and player-characters slain in brutal fashions.

The Lost Souls Pack (and the rest of the site) is not a game at all. Yes, there can be "Lost Souls games" as part of Pack events, but the Lost Souls itself is a group of people, not a game per se.

We have two separate mailing lists. One is for the Lost Souls, and features the darker side of life. The other is for the Midian game, and features game ideas and upcoming releases.
